What Should I Expect With Emergency Dental Care?
In our calm, nurturing environment, we hope that we can create a stress-free atmosphere during your emergency situation. We approach each dental emergency as a unique opportunity to give our patients personalized care and reassurance that the right decision was made to seek care right away. The first part of the process will be taking digital x-rays or a 3D cone beam oral scan to assess the condition at hand. Most of the time, we administer first aid, control bleeding, and relieve pain at the onset of the visit. If more detailed dental work needs to be performed, your emergency care dentist will prioritize what has to be implemented on your teeth without delay. After delivering care, we will put you on the schedule for another time during regular business hours to complete the work needed on your teeth.
What Is the Recovery Like for Emergency Dental Care?
When you return home after emergency dental work, you may need to have a prescription filled for antibiotics for any infection or prescription-strength pain relievers to make your recovery period comfortable. If a follow-up treatment appointment has been made for you during regular business hours, please attend your appointment for the rest of the dental work that needs to be done.
Does My Insurance Cover Dental Emergencies?
In emergency situations, your insurance may cover a percentage of after-hours or emergency dental care. Our billing coordinator will contact your provider to discuss the details of what is allowable in your policy. Then, we will go over your out-of-pocket expenses. If you do not have dental insurance, we have other options available, including CareCredit® financing.
Schedule Your Emergency Dental Care Appointment
If we can do our part in saving an aspect of your oral health with our emergency dental care services, then we believe offering after-hours appointments is well worth it. Our dental team in Kingwood, TX truly cares about our patients, and this is especially true in emergency situations that require immediate and skilled care at Made Ya Smile Dental.
