What Are All-on-4 Dental Implants?
At Made Ya Smile Dental in Kingwood, TX, we can offer our qualifying patients with tooth loss our All-on-4 dental implants. This is an innovative restorative technique that many people refer to as "teeth in a day." Traditional dental implant surgeries generally take place in phases, some with bone grafting, which can span many months in treatment. Because we can perform the surgery for the implants on the same day, our patients can leave our office with a temporary denture and on the road to recovery. Once healed, the fixed dental arch can be attached with confidence. If you have extensive tooth loss or unsalvageable teeth in the upper or lower arches, we would like to consult with you about our All-on-4 full-arch restorations. You can smile with confidence because this type of restoration does not slip. If you are looking for a long-lasting solution with immeasurable benefits for your oral health, we invite you to contact our Kingwood, TX Made Ya Smile Dental team today for your very own All-on-4 dental implant consultation.
Are All-on-4 Implants Right for Me?
Your age does not really have anything to do with your candidacy for a traditional dental implant or All-on-4 dental implants. If you need to have your upper, lower, or both arches replaced, all you really need to have is good health and gums that can support the implants.
"I am extremely terrified of the dentist and the staff treated me so kindly and had extraordinary patience with me! In particular Sonia and Dr. Olson, they really helped keep me calm. It’s been over a decade since I’ve been to a dentist and with their care, I’ll be able to return and start truly taking care of my mouth. Thank you all and I highly recommend Made Ya Smile Kingwood! How Do All-on-4 Dental Implants Work?
You can expect a two-step process for our All-on-4 dental implants. To prepare for an arch restorative placement, we have to do the prep work for your implants first. We will take the appropriate images with our 3D scanner and map out how the implants will be placed in your jaw for the best support. The post for your All-on-4 dental implants will require surgical placement, which involves about 2.5 hours per arch. We will offer you sedation and anesthesia in oral surgery. You will leave our office with a temporary denture after your dental implant surgery.
While your implant posts heal within your jawbone, you will continue to have a temporary set of teeth until the restoration can be placed. Your All-on-4 restorative arch will be placed on top of the post in a separate appointment, which can also be finalized in one day.
What Happens After Dental Implant Surgery?
You should have natural-looking teeth with All-on-4 dental implants that are easy and comfortable to wear. Since most of the swelling and healing process took place after your implant post placement, recovery from the actual restoratives being attached will feel less invasive. We will provide specific instructions on how to manage your oral health during the recovery phase. Generally, our All-on-4 dental implants are cared for in a similar fashion to natural teeth by brushing and flossing. You will still have to make your routine dental exams and cleanings at Made Ya Smile Dental. Then, we can also take the opportunity to check the health of your jaw, gums, and implant sites to ensure your All-on-4 dental implants are still meeting your oral health needs.
Are All-on-4 Implants Covered by Insurance?
To plan out your treatment, we will need to know what kind of coverage your insurance provider allows for All-on-4 dental implants. Our billing coordinator will contact your provider for specifics as we strive to help all patients get the dental care needed for a better quality of life. We are happy to review convenient payment plan options and financing through CareCredit® low-interest loans.
